Overview

Move semi trailers from the ALS plant in Manitowoc, WI to the Plant in Ripon, WI and vice versa. Transports materials to and from service department. Works closely with various departments to make sure the trailers are delivered to the right place at the right time.

 

This is a 2nd shift position.  Hours will be Monday - Thursday, 1:30pm-1:30am with opportunity for overtime on Fridays. 

Responsibilities

  • Transports good between Ripon plant and Manitowoc Plant
  • Moves semi trailers into and out of docks for loading and unloading of finished product and parts. 
  • Plans daily work schedule taking into consideration the needs of the traffic department, purchasing department and the warehouse. 
  • Must be able to skillfully operate the equipment in all kinds of weather, under extreme pressure, and in frequent overtime situations. 
  • Communicates problems, shortages, discrepancies, etc. with appropriate people. 
  • Performs other related, incidental and similar duties as required. 

Qualifications

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Possess valid Class A CDL drivers license
  • Current medical DOT card
  • 5 plus years of commercial driving experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Able to communicate effectively with all functional areas of the plant.

Education:

  • High School degree or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Position involves sitting long periods, standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending and minimal lifting.
